"Numerus clausus" for tourists : a new tool to fight against overcrowding
Last summer, for the first time, a limit was implemented in the Calanques National Park in Marseille, a small revolution. No more than 400 people, by reservation, could access the Sugiton and Pierres Tombées coves, which are usually crowded with up to 2500 people per day. Trampling of vegetation, litter, traffic jams... the park said stop and is now breathing.
